Working Together in Kent & Medway to Support Suicide Prevention

At Therapy Partners and Rewrite Your Story, we are proud to be working alongside Kent & Medway partners on an important new initiative supported by the Community Fund, announced in line with World Suicide Prevention Day.

This fund supports projects making a real difference to individuals, families, and communities across the region. We are delighted our work has been recognised as part of this effort, which aims to reduce stigma, strengthen support networks, and offer practical help to those most in need.

Why this matters

Every life lost to suicide has a profound impact — on families, friends, workplaces, schools, and whole communities. Suicide remains one of the leading causes of death worldwide, and in the UK the construction industry, young people, and men remain particularly vulnerable groups.

At Therapy Partners and Rewrite Your Story, our approach focuses on:

  • Safe spaces for people to talk openly and without judgement.
  • Practical counselling and support for individuals and families.
  • Partnership working with schools, employers, and community groups.
  • Stories of hope and resilience, showing that recovery is possible.

Looking ahead

By collaborating with Kent & Medway partners, we can combine expertise, resources, and lived experience to ensure that support reaches the people who need it most. Together, we aim to build a stronger, more compassionate community response to suicide prevention.

We are grateful to the Community Fund for supporting our work and recognising the importance of investing in local solutions to global challenges.
