At the Valley Invicta Academies Trust, we understand the importance of the well-being of our teachers and staff. Therefore, we are pleased to offer a confidential counselling service to all our employees.

We understand that seeking counselling can be a difficult step, but we want to assure our employees that this service is completely confidential and judgment-free. Our goal is to provide a supportive and understanding environment for all of our employees with quick access to support. To make the referral process as simple and confidential as possible, you will see the QR codes throughout the school which brings you to this webpage.

The Senior Management Team at VIATT understand that the demands of being a teacher and that the profession can be overwhelming and can take a toll on the mental and emotional well-being of our teachers and support staff. This service is to help support all our employees’ mental health and to create a supportive work environment helping staff succeed both at work and in their personal lives.

We have partnered with Therapy Partners to offer an employer-funded counselling support service to all VIATT staff. Therapy Partners is a team of licensed and accredited therapists who specialise in supporting employees’ mental health offering counselling services to individuals and organisations.

Our counselling service offers a safe and confidential space for teachers and staff to discuss any personal or work-related concerns they may have. Our counsellors are trained professionals who specialise in addressing mental health and well-being issues in the workplace.

The sessions are designed to help you navigate a range of issues, including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship problems and more. Our therapists are experienced, empathetic, and skilled in helping people find practical solutions to their mental health challenges. Some of our therapists are former teachers or have experience working within an educational context. We recognise the importance of addressing these issues and providing support to our employees.

The benefits of counselling are numerous and can include:

  1. Improved mental health: Counselling can help to alleviate symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions, and can provide a safe space for individuals to explore their feelings and emotions.
  2. Better Job Satisfaction: By addressing personal issues, teachers can improve their ability to focus and concentrate at work, leading to an increased sense of job satisfaction which can lead to a greater sense of fulfilment and satisfaction at work, which can have a positive impact on overall job satisfaction.
  3. Improved relationships: Counselling can help individuals to communicate more effectively, resolve conflicts, and build stronger relationships with colleagues and supervisors.
